Original works on paper will be up for sale, as well as a few paintings. The textiles artist Mahalia Stines will present a hand-sown tapestry reflecting on the history of Haiti via her personal experiences. 

Dèyè Mòn, Gen Moun:  The Haitian proverb “Dèyè Mòn, gen Mòn” translates to “Mountains beyond Mountains” depicting the hardships one must surmount at times. Here is a play of words, “Dèyè Mòn, Gen Moun” or “People beyond Mountains”: During a recent arduous hike into the South East hills of Haiti, I was amazed to see in which conditions people live beyond mountains that are difficult to reach.
